Imagine only having to fill up your diesel tank once a year or every 10,000 miles. Thats right, once a year! How can you do it? Vegetable oil- thats right, this free resource is everywhere, a bi-product of frying foods can be used to run your diesel engine. Imagine going down to one of your many local Fast food restraunts and picking up their used vegetable oil. All you need to do is put it in your VEGI tank and your ready to go. How does vegi oil compare to regular oil? Vegetable oil will perform just as well as regular diesel and some people have even reported a horsepower gain when switching to vegi oil from diesel. Why pay 2.50 and up for diesel or even 50 cents for biodiesel when you can get Vegetable oil for free! Theres gotta be some catch right? Its really quite simple, all you need is an extra tank for the vegetable oil and a switch to flip the feed from diesel to vegi oil running to your engine. Vegi oil cannot start up your motor so you must use regular diesel in order to do this. Once you are started flip to vegi oil and enjoy the extra cash sitting in you bank account where it belongs!

This sounds great but my biggest question is what do you do in colder climates? Is there an additive that you can use to keep the oil from solidifying? I am moving to Alaska and I was planning on trying that additive out of Canada but this sounds even more promising. There are two ways to stop the oil from solidfying.1) Get a special fuel tank conversion, where an element is put into your fuel tank and heats it up so it becomes thinner, this is costly and can be very fidly to do. This basicaly works like the glow plugs in your engine.2) Add methonal to your oil and it will make it thinner, research the interenet to find the mixtureJust remember using oil to run your car will void any warrentys you have on the car deeming them useless so only atempt on an old car. Replace the fuel pump with a stronger one as oil is thicker than diesel and watch your turbo as it can tire it quicker than just diesel. There are also kits you can buy which do it all for you giving you fuel at the end. But these are very exspensive. However no matter what you do. Your car will still be burning old chip oil and isn't the nicest smelling bi-prodcut in the world. People will smell you before they see you.
